Darley Moor Championship, Oct 14th.
Damp and greasy conditions suited Roy and Julie, and most F2's.
Double points meant everything was still to win or lose. Roy thought the bike wasn't quite as good as usual but couldn't say why.
In race 1 Schofield/Farrance beat them by over 1 second.
In race 2, the bike became worse, now stuttering at every gear-change. By the time Roy decided to Switch off the quick-shift, Schofield had gone and they were now embroiled in a ding-dong with an F1. Finishing 3rd clinched the Darley Championship...NOW FOR A REST

Festival of Sidecars, Mallory Pk. Oct 7th.
After finishing 2nd in heat for A final, looking forward to rest of days racing. However on 2 lap entering Gerrards bike went of into the gravel, about to turn over in gravel it skated out and slammed into bank, badly damaging fairing, exhaust can and sidecar wheel.
No injuries thankfully to Roy and Dave. Cause found to be a split sidecar rim that allowed the deflation of sidecar tyre. End of racing for the day.
Will have to fit an old fairing for final round of Darley championships next weekend.

Darley Moor Championship/Stars of Darley. Sept 30th.
Roy and Julie won the club championship race, with fastest lap of race at 1:03.29 sec.
Swapping passengers to Dave, They finished 3rd in both legs of Stars race with a lap time of 1:02.22, only 3/10ths slower than Horsepoles fastest lap.
I think this conclusively proves that he does take into account when Julie is riding with him.
It's a Dad thing.                 FESTIVAL NEXT WEEK, no rest.

British Super F2 Championship, Cadwell Pk. 23rd Sept.
This meeting had two races towards the Championship, one to replace the washed out Silverstone race and a Cadwell race.
Roy and Dave qualified 5th and were happy the way the bike was going.
In the Silverstone race they finished in 4th place. For the Cadwell race, playing their "Joker" they had to contend with Ian and Carl Bell, who beat them to the line by 4/10ths second, and so finished 5th.
Roy and Dave finished overall 5th in the British Super F2 Championship, maintaining their status of finishing in the top 7 in the championship for the last 11 years.
Next weekend, Roy and Julie at penultimate round of Darley Moor Championship, and with Dave for "Stars of Darley".
