Mini-Moto Sidecar Championship, Kinsham, 29/30th October.

On possibly the least liked track of the series, (5 hairpins and 1 bend), Tamzine and Stephan dug deep to pull the pole position time in the last qualifying session of the day.
Competing at 7 meetings and taking 7 pole positions against F1/F2's and 4 Strokes
On race day with the obligatory Kinsham over-night deluge the track was well watered.
Sitting in 2nd position overall in the F2 series with a 39 point lead over 3rd place, would have been a nice cushion, but in the wet and then wet/dry conditions meant the slightest mistake would be very costly.
Race 1 with mistakes on the last laps dropped them to 3rd in the race.  In race 2, holding 2nd till two corners from the flag they flew off into the tyre-wall, and limped home for 4th place. In race 3, suffering bad understeer they went off into the tyre-wall twice on the first lap. Starting the chase from half a lap behind the last man they came through to 5th place. Race 4, off twice on the first lap, recovering to 3rd at the flag. Not the best days racing they have had, but they managed to maintain their overall 2nd place in the F2 Championship.

With winter comes the next project, a new Mk 2 version with CBR125R engine.

Stephan leaves us this winter to go to Canada to live, he will be missed.

Mini-moto Sidecar Championship. Rowrah, 24/25th Sept.

Back at Rowrah with her "favourite" cylinder, Tamzine and Stephan took pole position by 2.8 seconds in qualifying, lapping at 57.56, some 2 seconds faster than their previous best lap.
They won race one and two which was dry, but were caught out by the rain in race three and were unable to change tyres as the majority of the grid, didn't want to?
They slithered around holding 3rd place, but the inevitable spin as the track become wetter dropped them to 5th at the flag.
In the last race, in the wet with wet tyres on, they ran off on the second lap and rejoined last coming through the field lapping some 4 seconds a lap quicker than the leaders they clawed their way back to 6th at the flag.
Although these results gave them overall 1st place on the day, it ended their quest to catch up Mr. Mantell as they are still 101 behind and only 1 meeting left, (4 races).
Last meeting Kinsham, (5 hairpins and a bend) October 29/30th.
If you are going to the Festival at Mallory, the bike will be on show there.

Mini-moto Sidecar Championship, Warden Law. August 27/28th.

Although Tamzine and Stephan have been to Warden Law before, they found the track difficult in its grip level and consequently its gearing. The constant locking up of the rear wheel under heavy braking not helping confidence levels.
However by the end of qualifying they were in pole position.. The latest cylinder although producing more peak power, was very difficult to keep in the power band.
In all 4 races they had very tight battles with Mantell, narrowly loosing out to him in the first two races, but after changing the front brake pads, won the next race setting fastest sidecar lap of the day. A spin in the fourth race spoilt any chance of a win coming in second.
After previous meetings successes in their quest to overhaul Mantell in the championship, a slight set-back, but with two meetings left, (eight races) anything could happen and probably will.
Next meeting Rowrah, Sept 24/25th.
